A decorated wall fragment protrudes from the debris of a tomb at El-Khokha in Luxor, Egypt. Located on the West Bank of the Nile River, El-Khokha is part of the vast Theban necropolis. More than a century of work by archaeologists has helped uncover the tombs of officials who served Egypt's pharaohs thousands of years ago.
