Easter Fire

Tarahumara people celebrate Easter by a fire in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains, Mexico. Spanish colonizers arrived in the area in the 1500s, and centuries of violent conflict followed. Ultimately, many of the Indigenous people converted to Catholicism.
