A local Aymara woman walks through the urban market, known as 16 de Julio, in El Alto, Bolivia. The city is considered one of the highest in the world, sitting at an altitude of more than 13,000 feet. The Indigenous Aymara people have lived in the Andes for thousands of years, and currently make up a majority of Bolivia's highland population.
