A thick forest of cedar trees stands tall on Terceira Island, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. You wouldn't know it by looking at this peaceful picture, but Terceira Island is home to the biggest city of the Azores, Angra do Heroísmo, which was founded in the 15th century.
