Dangerous Ascent
Climbers ascend Jengish Chokusu (also known as Victory Peak or Pik Pobeda), a summit between Kyrgyzstan and China that stands more than 24,000 feet tall. Your Shot photographer Saulius Damulevicius is one of a few hundred to ascend the dangerous mountain. Of the adventure, he says, "It remains my hardest climb despite subsequent expeditions in the Himalayas." This photo was submitted to Your Shot, our photo community on Instagram.
