Photo of the Day
Lost in Thought
This gorilla’s pensive gaze intrigued Your Shot member Daryl Tannis, who made this photo while at the Dallas Zoo on a “safari photographic adventure event.” Tannis writes, “I was amazed by their humanlike interactions and reactions to the crowd, and I was fortunate to capture a couple of good images of their emotional expressions. Focusing on the faces of living subjects is my preference, particularly the eyes. I patiently positioned myself where [the gorillas] frequently seemed to stop in thought, although briefly.”
