Surf's Up

On the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, heavy rains cause a swell of rapids. "The results are spectacular, going from a small trickle to a stage 5 rapid within 30 minutes," says Your Shot photographer Matt Porteous. "This was the early stages—you can see the surfers riding the constant waves and a few guys being swept out to sea." This photo was submitted to Your Shot, our photo community on Instagram.
