Beat the Drum
Students study the chenda, or wooden drum, at India’s Kerala Kalamandalam, a famous art and culture school. “After a while [the] teacher asked them to take a break, but one student was continuing his practice,” says photographer Prasad Perakam. “That showed me his passion and dedication to this art.”
