Home on the Range

Tom Miner Basin, north of Yellowstone National Park, is home to ranch land and also to predators that travel in and out of the park. Hilary Anderson, pictured here riding a horse, cuts a classic figure riding the range above the family ranch. But her purpose is practical: to deter predators by keeping cattle bunched and by showing a human presence on the land. Buy a print of this photo.
