Two familiar sights—the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline—are seen from a new vantage in this image by Your Shot photographer Peter Alessandria. “This was taken from a very specific location in New Jersey with a … telephoto lens,” Alessandria writes. “Because of the telephoto compression, the iconic landmarks line up very nicely, even though they are five miles apart, plus another two miles from where I was shooting.” This photo was submitted to Your Shot, our photo community on Instagram.
