Atlantic green sea turtles swimming in the Canary Islands

I Sea You

Scuba diving off Tenerife in the Canary Islands afforded Your Shot member G. Lecoeur an opportunity to capture this sharp underwater close-up of an Atlantic green sea turtle. “It was early morning, and the sunbeam pierced the surface,” he explains. “I adjusted the setting of my camera and waited for the turtles to come close enough to trigger [it]. After a little while, the turtles were circling us, and it was a great opportunity to photograph them.”

Lecoeur's shot was recently featured in the Daily Dozen.
