Shrine at Twilight

Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, Japan, dates back about as far as Kyoto itself—to the 6th or 7th century. "You will see lots of tourists in the daytime," says Your Shot photographer Takeshi Ishizaki. "But as darkness sets in and silence gains a ground, you start glimpsing its traditional and mysterious side." This photo was submitted to Your Shot, our photo community on Instagram.
