Photo of the Day: Best of June

Every day, we feature an image chosen from thousands submitted to our photo community, Your Shot. Here are some highlights from June.

One thing that resonated with me while editing this month’s submissions to Your Shot was the strong use of color. My favorite images in June used bold, vibrant hues to accenuate the hustle and bustle of the big city or to highlight the remarkable beauty of the environment and its wildlife. From the spectacular blue walls of Patagonia's Marble Caves to the unique red homes of Larung Gar in China's Sichuan Province, these photos' application of color—whether dramatic or understated—kept me lingering on each frame.

June's top shots creatively used color to stand out from the bunch.
