Photo of the Day
Deadly Blooms
It's not a marble painting—it's an aerial photograph of cyanobacterial blooms on the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. "These blooms are deadly to people, fish, and animals and require treating the drinking water before it comes out of the lake," explains Your Shot photographer Matt Champlin. "I think it's important to sometimes show in our photography the perils that this planet faces because of human actions." This photo was submitted to Your Shot, our photo community on Instagram.
