<p><strong>February 21, 2010—</strong>Capping a mission that began with the <a id="w_c7" title="final space shuttle night launch" href="http://blogs.nationalgeographic.com/blogs/news/breakingorbit/2010/02/sts130-launch-coverage-launch.html">final space shuttle night launch</a>, the NASA shuttle <em>Endeavour</em> makes a rare night landing at Florida's Kennedy Space Station at 10:20 p.m. ET.<br><br><em>Endeavour'</em>s 13-day mission included installing the new Tranquility node, which houses the <a id="cpu:" title="seven-window cupola" href="http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/02/photogalleries/100218-international-space-station-cupola-iss-obama-nasa-pictures/">seven-window cupola (see pictures)</a>, onto the <a id="phfw" title="International Space Station" href="http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/space/space-exploration/international-space-station-article.html">International Space Station</a>. With STS-130 complete, only four shuttle missions remain until NASA retires the fleet at the end of 2010.</p>

Space Shuttle Night Landing

February 21, 2010—Capping a mission that began with the final space shuttle night launch, the NASA shuttle Endeavour makes a rare night landing at Florida's Kennedy Space Station at 10:20 p.m. ET.

Endeavour's 13-day mission included installing the new Tranquility node, which houses the seven-window cupola (see pictures), onto the International Space Station. With STS-130 complete, only four shuttle missions remain until NASA retires the fleet at the end of 2010.
