Yellowstone National Park—the world’s first national park, established on March 1, 1872—is full of breathtaking sights and rugged wilderness. Few images of the park are as evocative as those of the Grand Prismatic Spring, seen here. It is the largest and perhaps most beautiful example of the hydrothermal springs that pepper the park’s landscape.
