<p>Hallstatt, with its misty view of the Alps, is one of many lakeside villages in Austria's scenic Salzkammergut—the lake country east of Salzburg. Writer P.F. Kluge returned to the region for the April 2009 <em>Traveler</em> feature, "Secrets of the Lakes," photographed by Sisse Brimberg and Cotton Coulson.
