Bus2Antarctica: Be There for the Send-Off!

While the rest of us are finishing off our holiday cookies and making our New Year’s plans, our contributing editor Andrew Evans is busy packing his bags, arranging his visas, and putting together his playlist for his big bus trip from Washington D.C. to Antarctica.

If you want to wish him luck, you can come to the official send-off this Friday, January 1, at 11 a.m. He’ll be departing from the 16th Street headquarters of National Geographic, standing outside the original building at 16th and M Street waiting for the S2 Metrobus. From there, he’ll head to Union Station, where he’ll catch a 36-hour bus ride to Houston. And then the real fun begins.

Follow Andrew and he puts together his plans, and send him playlist ideas, at @Bus2Antarctica. And find all of the Bus2Antarctica posts here. And we absolutely encourage any of you with penguin gear to bring it out in full force.
