Bus2Antarctica Video: Bogotá Street Life

Andrew Evans provides us a glimpse of the street life in Bogotá’s city center.

I had great fun exploring the Colombian capital of Bogotá and was amazed what an artistic city it is. The wealth of art deco architecture, the splendid museums, talented street artists, and funky décor all around town surprised me. With so little time to enjoy such an under-appreciated city, I head straight down to La Plaza de Bolívar, where I happened upon the changing of the guard, the dismantling of the city’s gigantic artificial Christmas tree, a blind woman playing guitar and lots and lots of pigeons. Among the bird fanatics was young Nicolas who was feeding the pigeons handfuls of rice with his mother. Because I know absolutely nothing about making videos, he volunteered to help.
