Daily Radar: 9.10.10

Eighty-eight searchlights make the monument visible from spots all over the city, including the Staten Island Ferry. [Jaunted]
  • Sleep out on the Mississippi this weekend at Mud Island River Park, located right in the Mississippi River, and just across the bridge from downtown Memphis. The park closes for the season in October, making this their second to last camp-out of the year (just make sure you reserve a spot). The park provides everything from the tent to the marshmallows, including dinner, breakfast, recreational activities and live entertainment. The only thing you need to pack is a sleeping bag.
