Friday: Virtual @NatGeoTravel Photo Walk

Join Nat Geo Travel at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History this Friday with our director of photography, Dan Westergren—and get real-time photo tips along the way.

During this Google+ Hangout On Air, Dan will be exploring the National Mall in Washington, D.C.—one of Traveler magazine’s Best of the World destinations for 2015. He’ll also be taking you behind the scenes of the museum’s upcoming exhibit, “The Last American Dinosaurs,” before it opens to the public on November 25.

Amy Alipio, the Traveler editor behind our annual Best of the World feature, will be joining Dan from Society headquarters, along with Nat Geo Travel photo editors Sarah PolgerTyler Metcalfe, and Ben Fitch. We hope you’ll come along to celebrate one of D.C.’s most beloved institutions and get the inside scoop on next year’s travel hot spots.

What: Virtual Photo Workshop and Exhibit Preview at the National Museum of Natural History
When: Friday, November 21, at 1 p.m. ET
Where: Google+ Hangout On Air
How to Join: Use hashtag #BestoftheWorld to participate in the Google+ Hangout in real time. Ask Dan, Amy, and the rest of the travel crew about our picks for the best places to explore in 2015 and get answers to your burning photography questions.
