#FriFotos: Shop Around

For this week’s #FriFotos theme, FOR SALE, we chose this photo of the Lok Baintan floating market near Banjarmasin (the capital of South Kalimantan, Indonesia) that Hary Muhammad submitted to the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest.

The exchange of goods is a way of life around the world. In this traditional market, locals meet each other in boats to sell and barter their produce early in the morning.

The contest runs through July 11th, so you still have plenty of time to enter for a chance to win one of these amazing prizes: a National Geographic Galápagos Photography Expedition; a Santa Fe Workshop; a National Geographic Traveler SeminarNational Geographic Traveler Seminar; and $200 gift certificates to B&H Photo. You can submit digital photos online in any of these four categories: Travel Portraits; Outdoor Scenes; Sense of Place; and Spontaneous Moments.
