#FriFotos: Sit Down

This week’s #FriFotos selection (the theme is CHAIRS) comes to us from Jaana Eleftheriou, who captured this strange scene of a lonely chair facing Mount Cook — otherwise known by its Māori name, Aoraki in New Zealand and submitted it to our My Shot community. “It looked like the biggest living room with the best view on earth,” she says.

Who would say no to a view of the highest peak in the Southern Alps?

Want to see one of your photos featured on our website or blog? Make it happen by uploading your favorite travel pics (don’t forget to add a caption!) to ngm.com/yourshot. Tag all your submissions #travelshot – then look for your photos in one of our My Shot galleries or on the Intelligent Travel blog.

#FriFotos is a weekly themed Twitter chat founded by @EpsteinTravels, @CharlesYap, and @TravelDesigned where travelers share their favorite pics. Search #FriFotos on Twitter to see this week’s submissions or tweet one of your own.
