#FriFotos: Surfin’ Safari

July 13, 2012

This week’s #FriFotos theme is SUMMER, so I thought I’d pay homage to The Endless Summer — the classic surf documentary that took us around the world on a quest to find the perfect, never-ending wave. I couldn’t help adding in a nod to The Beach Boys, who helped put surfing on the map — and who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year!

Want to find the best surf spots? Check out the Nat Geo Adventure team’s picks for the top 20 surf towns around the world (then follow them on Twitter @NatGeoAdventure).

#FriFotos is a weekly themed Twitter chat founded by @EpsteinTravels, @TravelDesigned and @CharlesYap where travelers share their favorite pics. Search #FriFotos on Twitter to see the latest submissions or tweet one of your own.
