#FriFotos: Windows of the World

For this week’s #FriFotos theme, WINDOWS, we chose this photograph of the New York City skyline lit up by thousands of glittering windows.

In light of the anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center 11 years ago, we wanted to pay homage to the strength and endurance of the people of the five boroughs and the beauty of the city they call home. And so, just as Burt Bacharach wrote, and Dionne Warwick sang, may the windows of the world “let the sun shine through.”

Travel 365 — a bigger, bolder, every-day version of Travel Photo of the Week — has finally arrived! This week’s #FriFotos pick was taken by Susan Seubert (from Rockefeller Center’s observation deck) and is today’s feature photo on Travel 365.

Make sure to check back on the travel section of our website to get your daily dose of photo fun.

#FriFotos is a weekly themed Twitter chat founded by @EpsteinTravels@TravelDesigned, and @CharlesYap where travelers share their favorite pics. Search #FriFotos on Twitter to see the latest submissions or tweet one of your own.
