Off-Broadway On the House

Attention theater buffs: NYC & Co. just announced a new promotion that will offer two-for-one theater tickets on Off-Broadway performances at venues throughout New York City. The program, called On the House, will run from February 8-28.

I’m a huge fan of Off-Broadway productions, as they not only enable you to see some upcoming talent before it hits the Great White Way (I saw the deliriously good In the Heights when it was playing Off-Broadway, for example), but also lets you escape the hubbub of Times Square and explore other neighborhood theaters in the city. Through this promotion, you’ll find ticket offerings in Chelsea, Midtown, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, the East Village and the West Village.

Check out the full list of performances, and then get the requisite coupon codes online: A Lie of the Mind, Ages of the Moon, Avenue Q, Awesome 80s Prom, Candida, Circumcise Me, Clybourne Park, Equivocation, The Fantasticks, Fuerza Bruta, The Gazillion Bubble Show, Happy Now?, MazelTov Cocktail, Measure for Measure, Mr. & Mrs. Fitch, Naked Boys Singing!, Perfect Crime, The Pride, The Scottsboro Boys, Signs of Life, STOMP, The Tempermentals, Top Secret: The Battle for the Pentagon Papers, Venus in Fur and Yank!
