<p>Turning 25 this year, the <i><a href="http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/canada-rocky-mountaineer-train-travel/" target="_blank">Rocky Mountaineer</a></i> excursion train passes Heart Mountain and the Bow River on its route connecting <a href="http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/city-guides/seattle-washington/" target="_blank">Seattle</a> and <a href="http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/city-guides/vancouver-canada/" target="_blank">Vancouver</a> with <a href="http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/parks/banff-canada-park/" target="_blank">Banff</a>. It's the only way to access some of the Rocky Mountains' most dramatic stretches along the Canadian Pacific Railway, which was built in 1885 to unify the nation.</p>
