Show Your #NationalPride!
Most people know that the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th and that the French stormed the Bastille on July 14th, but did you know that at least 20* other countries are celebrating their independence this month?
That includes the world’s newest nation, South Sudan, who will be celebrating her first birthday on the 9th, and Canada, who will be celebrating her 145th year this Sunday.
Show (and tell) us how your country celebrates its independence! Share your photos with us on Twitter and Instagram by using the #nationalpride hash tag (make sure to shout out @NatGeoTraveler so we know you’re talking to us).
We’ll be showcasing your best submissions here on the blog later this month, so get out your flag and wave it!
