Strange Planet: Bouncy Castle Crossing

We’re all very familiar with inflatable rafts, but using an inflatable bouncy castle as a mode of transport? Now we’ve seen everything. Three British twentysomethings recently paddled five miles across Italy’s Lake Garda in a castle in just under two hours. It’s part of documentary, Live Every Litre, which is sponsored by Honda and follows people living out their travel dreams.

“Great Britain has such a great tradition as a seafaring nation and we really feel we have played no role at all in adding to this,” said Chris Hayes, one of the castle crew. “That said, it was possibly the most fun we have ever had and we really never believed this most frivolous of dreams would ever be realized.”
