The Perfect Airport

Remember when going to the airport was something special? Well, you may not, but your parents or grandparents might. Mass travel, deregulation, and security clampdowns have turned the airport experience into a real slog, a gauntlet we’re lucky to get through without a pat-down. But every once in a while there are glimmers of what once was and what could be again: We’re wowed by a cool local shop, a seamless connection to the city, or a tranquil spot to escape the hubbub. In our November/December issue of the magazine, we celebrate these standouts.

We built our fantasy airport out of pieces of real ones around the world– MAD’s architecture, SFO’s Wi-Fi, SYD’s lounge. Now we want to hear from you:

What and where are your favorite airport amenities? Leave us the details in the comments section below and we’ll publish some in a future issue of Traveler.
