The Radar: Strikes in Greece, $35 Flights, Seattle’s Best Cafes

  • Nationwide strikes in Greece are being planned for October 19 and 20 and could be accompanied by large rallies and protests. The strikes are timed with a parliamentary vote on austerity measures. Airport, ferry, telecommunication, bank, and railway employees will be among the strikers. [World Nomads]
  • Southwest and AirTran are now offering flights for $35 one-way if the trip is 450 miles or less. Flights between 451-1000 miles are $65 one-way, and flights from 1,001 to 1,500 miles start at $95 one-way. [USA Today]
