The Incredible Flying Bear

Last year, Eric Kruszewski was the winner of National Geographic Expeditions’ “Expedition Moments” photo contest, open to those who have traveled with Expeditions and submitted photograph from their journeys. Eric won a trip to Alaska’s Inside Passage, and his photos from that visit are now up on their Field Notes blog. I’m particularly fond of this shot of a bear, leaping toward its dinner (and it’s giving me flashbacks).

Check out the entire gallery, and if you have great shots from a National Geographic or National Geographic/Lindblad Expedition, enter them in the 2010 Photography Contest by November 30, 2010 for a chance to win a trip for two on the Journey to Antarctica trip! Full details and submission rules can be found online.
