- For three days in November the State Hofkeller Winery in Würzburg, Germany will be hosting movie nightsin the wooden-barrel-stocked vaulted wine cellar of their 875 year old estate. The combination of contemporary films (a selection of Alfred Hitchcock movies from the 40s and 50s) with a deeply historical location is a good illustration of State Hofkeller, where modern wine culture and eco-friendly practices are practiced in the oldest wine estate in the country. Open seating, a champagne reception and a red wine intermission await you at the end of a quietly lit labyrinth of stone corridors deep below the grounds of the massive 18th century Würzburg Residence.
