Video: Barbados, It’s a Beautiful Life

When I go on a writing assignment, by habit I bring a camera for visual note-taking. After looking at the photos and clips I came home with from the Barbados story (in January/February issue of National Geographic Traveler), I thought it would be fun to throw some frames together that might illustrate different aspects of the story I was working on, along with a little hindsight commentary. Barbados is one of those places you can’t wait to bring your friends to, so they can share some of your experiences. Video is a poor substitute, but it serves the same purpose, of wanting to share the island spirit, as it was shared with you. — Contributing Editor Charles Kulander
