Why It's Worth It
The question is not why should you go to Queenstown, but why not? Encircled by a necklace of majestic mountains on the shores of stunning Lake Wakatipu, this jewel at the bottom of the globe exerts a magnetic force that draws up to 3 million visitors a year from all over the world. They come to the little alpine town seeking adventurous outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing and snow-boarding; the high adrenalin thrills of bungy-jumping, parapenting, ziplining, sky-diving and jetboating; or the more peaceful pursuits of fine wining and dining and relaxation.
