Botswana’s gateway to the wild, Gaborone is a tranquil, unassuming place. It’s also one of southern Africa’s safest, more agreeable cities, appealing to first-time visitors to Africa as much as seasoned travelers with its varied restaurants, good shopping, and otherwise gentle introduction to the country.
