Soufriere Hills Volcano Erupts

After reawakening in 1995, the Montserrat volcano erupted several times over several years. Constant observation of this and other volcanoes have enabled scientists to refine their prediction models—helping to safeguard the millions of people who live in close proximity to the world's active volcanoes.
