Come see our books at one of these industry trade shows.

We’re packing our bags and shipping our boxes.

The weather is heating up, which means it’s also trade show season! Many of our sales, marketing, and editorial staff travel to these shows to exhibit National Geographic books, talk with readers and librarians, and meet with partners.

Join us! Below are the shows we will be attending. If you are planning to be at any of these, please stop by our booth or reach out to our sales team to set up a meeting.

American Library Association Annual Conference

Come see us in Washington, D.C., at ALA Annual from June 21 through June 24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Drop by booth 2016 to check out all our new frontlist titles, as well as key backlist. We’ll have lots of giveaways, including bags, bracelets, and books. Pick up a copy of the National Geographic Almanac 2019 plus advance copies of Explorer Academy: The Double Helix (#3), Immortality, Inc., Pleased to Meet Me, and Zeus the Mighty, and enter to win special prizes. Don’t miss out!

Author Signings and Events

Sunday, June 23

11:00 to 12:00 pm: Author Mary Quattlebaum will read from and sign her new children’s book Brother, Sister, Me and You in booth 2016. The first 75 attendees will receive a signed complimentary copy of the book.

1:00 pm to 1:50 pm: National Geographic Chief Cartographer Alex Tait will be presenting “Why a Printed Map Matters in a Digital Age” at the Chapter One Stage. Don’t forget to pre-order your copy of the National Geographic Atlas of the World, 11th Edition!

2:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Author Kitson Jazynka will discuss her writing process for biographies as part of the “PRHPS Kid’s Corner Book Buzz” at the Book Buzz Theater. She will then sign a limited number of copies of her books in booth 2016 at 2:45 pm.

2:40 pm to 3:10 pm: Associate Editor Kathryn Williams will be presenting will be presenting the “Facts, Fun, and Fiction from National Geographic Kids Books” at the Book Buzz Theater.

Monday, June 24

10:00 am to 10:50 am: Authors Bill Sullivan and Chip Walter will be doing a joint session called “Hot Science in the News: The Science of You and the Science of Cheating Death” at the PopTop Stage in the Exhibit Hall. Attendees can pick up advance copies of Pleased to Meet Me and Immortality, Inc.

10:50 am to 11:20 am: Publisher and Editorial Director Lisa Thomas will be presenting the “National Geographic Adult Book Buzz” at the Book Buzz Theater. Come learn about our fabulous fall line-up!
