Where Will Boston Bombing Suspect Be Buried?

The final resting places of terrorists are often debated.

Tsarnaev's uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, and three friends washed and wrapped the body on Sunday in accordance with Muslim tradition.

Governor Deval Patrick said on Monday the place of burial is the decision of the family, not of the state or federal government. Tsarnaev's widow, Karen Russell, has declined to claim the body.

Tsarni says he prefers the body to be buried in Massachusetts, but local cemeteries and municipalities are not exactly queuing up for the task.

The city of Cambridge, where Tsarnaev legally resided, has already tried to opt out. On Sunday, city manager Robert Healey said in a statement that the city would be "adversely impacted by the turmoil, protests, and widespread media presence at such an interment" and recommended
