A baby wildebeest in Tanzania

Wildebeest, Serengeti

This Month in Photo of the Day: Animal Pictures

On a recent safari in the Serengeti of Tanzania, I captured this image of an infant wildebeest keeping up with its mother. These remarkable animals can run at the same speed of the adults within 45 minutes of their birth. Finding ourselves in the middle of thousands of these animals migrating across the vast Serengeti was one of the most moving experiences of my life.

The deadline for entering the photo contest is July 11. Send in your best shots today!
