Residential Wrath
Wildfire sparked in Angeles National Forest in California on Thursday. Nicknamed the Powerhouse fire, the blaze began near a power station in San Clarita, according to the Los Angeles Times. The flames have been perpetuated by hot and dry temperatures, as well as a severe lack of rainfall in the past year. (Learn more about wildfires.)
Since catching flame just north of Los Angeles, the powerful fire has ravaged over 30,000 acres of land and has claimed several homes. Here, flames engulf a structure near Lake Hughes, California.
