10 Pictures Capture Shock of Another Nepal Earthquake

A second major earthquake—magnitude 7.3—rattled Nepal on the heels of a 7.8 magnitude quake that killed thousands in April.

The magnitude 7.3 earthquake that rumbled through Nepal on Tuesday toppled buildings that had already been damaged by the magnitude 7.8 quake that struck the country on April 25. It also shook a population already jittery from more than two weeks of aftershocks.

"This is the last thing we needed," says Ben Ayers, county director for the dZi Foundation in Kathmandu, which helps remote villages in Nepal combat poverty. "Everyone is setting up tents in the yard again. It's very hard psychologically."

The Tuesday temblor is an aftershock to the original April quake. Here are pictures of the devastation from the hours following this latest quake.
