Join sky-watchers around the world with this new app

What’s above us unites us—that’s the message Mae Jemison wants to spread with the Look Up project.

On October 18, sky-watchers can take part in a 24-hour phenomenon with the new app, Skyfie, and the Look Up project. By uploading photos, text, videos, or audio recordings, participants can share their view of the sky—and discover other perspectives from around the world.

“I believe the impact of looking up at the sky can be as profound as seeing the Earth from space orbit, especially when it’s a shared, worldwide experience,” says astronaut, physician, engineer, and educator Mae Jemison, who spearheaded the Look Up movement.

To contribute to the Sky Tapestry, download the free Skyfie app today on iOS or Android.
