On October 18, sky-watchers can take part in a 24-hour phenomenon with the new app, Skyfie, and the Look Up project. By uploading photos, text, videos, or audio recordings, participants can share their view of the sky—and discover other perspectives from around the world.
“I believe the impact of looking up at the sky can be as profound as seeing the Earth from space orbit, especially when it’s a shared, worldwide experience,” says astronaut, physician, engineer, and educator Mae Jemison, who spearheaded the Look Up movement.
