One of the most incredible landscapes in Iceland is the Jökulgil valley, which leads through the Icelandic Mountains located in the central interior of the country. The area is an uninhabited volcanic desert, and the mountains consists mainly of rhyolite, an igneous rock that contains minerals like iron and sulphur.
